Coaching For Our Times

Currently, we can’t confidently plan five years ahead, because we don’t know what our world will look like.

Geopolitics, finance, work, healthcare, education, manufacturing… the scope and pace of change may well be unprecedented.

Why does coaching matter?

To meet the challenges and realise the opportunities, we need our best resources available: to adapt quickly, innovate, make wise decisions, and manage overwhelm and stress. This is true for us as individuals, couples, teams and communities — and for the contribution each of us is here to make. Coaching helps us access these capabilities and stay focused.

What can we do?

We have cognitive abilities we rarely train and — mostly due to our evolutionary history — we all have patterns that sabotage our goals.

By combining modern neuroscience with ancient practices like mindfulness, we can develop metacognition: the ability to notice our own thinking. Then we can shift from reacting in fear to responding with discernment, as well as compassion.

CCi-D: Making the most of these times

Creative: self-reflection isn’t enough. We can point to the DJ while we can’t stop dancing to the same old tune. We need to generate genuinely innovative ways of thinking and behaving.
Conscious: aware of our talents and our destructive tendencies. Aware of our impact and influence.
Intelligence: discernment, rather than rote judgement.
Dynamics: because we’re dealing with complexity and circumstances are changing quickly. We need an integrated approach working across multiple levels simultaneously.

The outcome

Together, we’ll determine how you can shift your current experience, so you amplify your positive contribution and shape lasting change.

Let’s work together.
